DirecTV has now expanded their NFL Sunday Ticket streaming package for college students, and are also making the services available on more devices and apps. The NFL Sunday Ticket streaming package is available for college students who are in the 2nd or 4th year academic course.
It is the first time that DirecTV is allowing students to stream out-of-market NFL games. The games can be accessed from NFLSUNDAYTICKET.TV U for just 24.99 dollars a month for four months.
Reports show that the university students were the heaviest among the users of streaming services last year. This is as per the reports released by AT&T, the parent of DirecTV, which shows that more than a third of all the subscribers of the streaming service were students.
“University students are often far from home and unable to watch their favorite hometown NFL teams,” said AT&T Entertainment Group chief marketing officer David Christopher. “With NFLSUNDAYTICKET.TV U, we’re connecting them to their home and team.”
DirecTV will also offer NFLSUNDAYTICKET.TV MAX and NFLSUNDAYTICKET.TV to the residents who live in apartments, townhomes, and condos in the US, where the service of other DirecTV packages is unavailable. As per the company, anyone who lives in a single family home that is not connected to a DirecTV satellite would be eligible for the services.
The streaming services allow users to stream live as well as out-of-market NFL games, all Sunday afternoon, from anywhere they are. Moreover, with NFLSUNDAYTICKET.TV MAX and NFLSUNDAYTICKET.TV U, users will have access to DirecTV Fantasy Zone Channel and Red Zone Channel as well. The service is also available on Apple TV for all the NFLSUNDAYTICKET.TV users.
The service will continue to be available on Xbox One and Xbox 360, Chromecast, and PlayStation 3 and 4. The charges for the subscription are 49.99 dollars a month, for four months.
NFL Sunday Ticket games starts on September 11 Sunday at 1 p.m. ET. DirecTV hopes to see more college students making use of their streaming services with these offers.
