DirecTV now has the third season of the Scandinavian crime series Bron/Broen (The Bridge). The show is from the distributor ZDF Entertainment that has its headquarters in Germany. The first two seasons of the show have already been aired on DirecTV. After this deal, the number of nations to which the third season of the show has been sold has increased to 140.
“OnDirecTV has a history of curating top international scripted content and Bron is rightly considered one of very best, groundbreaking series,” said Willard Tressel, General Manager of OnDirecTV. There are no official confirmations on the fourth season of the show, but the creator of the series, Hans Rosenfeldt, said that he would like to continue the series. This show is a co-production of Swedish pubcaster SVT and Danish broadcaster DR, and produced by Nimbus.
In another update, it is reported that DirecTV network has now added the FM music channel and the Game Show Network to their packages. These channels will be available in high definition. Users can access the Game Show Network on channel 233. This network features repeated telecasts of game shows on the other networks and also features original GSN made games.
Popular shows in the network are Million Dollar Password, Family Feud, Skin Wars, and Match Game. Viewers who like to watch HD channels have long wondered why DirecTV is not adding GSN HD to their DirecTV Family pack. Well, this channel is owned by Sony and DirecTV.
The FM music channel features videos and programs related to music. This channel is owned by the Fuse Networks and it broadcasts shows that were previously aired on Nuvo TV, like Miami Ink, Dexter, and LA Ink. Nuvo’s programs were merged into FM music channel when it was launched last year. Users can access the FM music channel at channel number 386 of DirecTV.
