Earlier in June, Sling TV announced that they are splitting their offerings into two separate packages, Sling Orange and Sling Blue. The former package will be available to the subscribers at $20 per month, whereas the latter will be available at a comparatively higher price of $25 per month.
Sling Orange is exactly similar to the basic package offered by Sling TV before they decided to break their packages into two. This package allows subscribers to access approximately 28 popular channels, which broadcast quality programs such as news updates, popular TV shows, blockbuster movies, sports events, and a lot more.
Some of the popular channels included in Sling Orange package are Lifetime, ESPN, BBC America, and AMC. However, one of the main disadvantages of Sling Orange package is that a user can stream only a single channel at a time. Yet again, Sling Orange has attracted more than thousands of viewers towards their service due to their low cost and amazing channel lineup.
Sling Blue can be considered as an updated or much better version of Sling Orange. This package allows Sling TV subscribers to access almost 43 popular channels at a cost of $25 per month. However, some of the channels that are included in the Sling Orange package are not available on Sling Blue. Disney and ESPN, for instance, are excluded from the Sling Blue channel lineup.
Nevertheless, an added advantage of this package is that it is a multi-stream service. Thus, subscribers can easily access three channels at the same time with Sling Blue. Moreover, Sling TV also allows three different people to use a single account simultaneously.
One of the major doubts among Sling TV subscribers is that whether they could sign up for both Sling Orange and Sling Blue. Interestingly, Dish Network recently revealed that Sling TV allows you to select both packages, so that you will get access to all the channels offered by the online streaming service.
As for the pricing, Sling TV customers will have to pay $40 per month in order to get both packages, which seems quite reasonable and a lot lower than opting for other streaming options. What’s more, Sling TV has also acquired the rights of NFL to draw in more sport fans to their offerings.
