Sling TV has just acquired the rights for the Campus Insiders network. Sling TV has been engaged in great competition with satellite and cable providers over the past few months, aiming to attract more cord cutters and new subscribers, and with the launch of Campus Insiders network, it seems as if their plans are going great.
The Campus Insiders sports channel is an absolute treat for football lovers. Exclusive live coverage of college football games is available in this platform, and now Sling TV subscribers can easily access and enjoy popular college football games on their devices.
Ankit Bishnoi, Sling TV’s head of Content Acquisition & Strategy wrote, “As schools across the country welcome back students this week, we can’t help but get excited for what’s just around the corner – college football. And because we know you love college football as much as we do, we launched Campus Insiders Network just in time for you to catch hundreds of live college sporting events from Conference USA, Mountain West Conference, Patriot League and West Coast Conference.”
Campus Insiders network has been in partnership with the above conferences for quite a few years. Sling TV subscribers can enjoy the exclusive coverage of college football games from September 10, 2016. The first college game will feature Elizabeth City State University and Fordham in action. Other games that will be available to the Sling TV customers include VMI at Bucknell, Cornell at Bucknell, and Penn at Fordham.
Sling earlier announced their deal with Campus Insiders network guaranteeing that they will bring underserved college sports programming to their platform. Sling TV made it possible for customers to access NFL RedZone and NFL Network without a cable television subscription. Just like these channels, Campus Insiders will also be available to the Sling subscribers, if they are willing to pay an additional amount of $5 per month for “Sports Extra” pack.
In a statement, CEO of Campus Insiders’ owner/operator Silver Chalice, Brooks Boyer said, “With our commitment to covering the world of college sports and delivering the live games of our conference partners to a wider audience, Campus Insiders’ growth is a testament to the insatiable appetite of the more than 100 million Americans who call themselves college sports fans.”
The live coverage of major football games and many other sports events are featured on Campus Insiders and it includes the Arizona Bowl too.
