The telecom giant AT&T has come up with yet another interesting customer reward program for its postpaid wireless customers. This new program, called the AT&T Thanks Program, offers free movie tickets to the qualified customers under the Ticket Twosdays promotion. As the name of the program suggest, it offers a free movie ticket to the customer who buys a full price ticket for a Tuesday movie. The AT&T Thanks Program is coordinated through a partnership with MovieTickets.com.
In addition to that, AT&T Mobility customers will be offered presale access to the concerts that are promoted by Live Nation. Another among the AT&T deals is that customers who sign up for DirecTV service will have access to “special content.”
AT&T also promised to offer new private offers like tickets to live events, data packages and giveaways, and accessories. AT&T spokesperson said that as the program “evolves, offers will be tailored to customers based on their services and packages with AT&T.” The current customers of AT&T need not sign up for the offer as it is set to be a free bonus for those customers who qualify for the offer.
Market experts said that this move from AT&T could be in response to the bleeding of high valued customers to the rivals. At the start of the year, the carrier was trumped by its rivals in respect of postpaid phone growth and they lost about 200,000 connections. Some of the rivals of AT&T, like T-Mobile US and Sprint, managed to attract more customers to their services, whereas Verizon Wireless lost about 8,000 postpaid connections.
A detailed market study will reveal that AT&T has been bundling promotions and offers across their platforms to attract more and more customers to their services. They had previously launched unlimited mobile data for the customers of DirecTV packages and unlimited data for the home U-Verse customers who also sign up for DirecTV service.
