This year’s Grammy Awards ceremony was watched by the most number of viewers. The program, which officially aired through CBS, was brought to most number of viewers by satellite service providers like DirecTV and Dish Network.
The Grammy Awards are given out to the artists by the National Academy of Recording Arts and Science (NARAS). It is an award to honor the artists who have contributed to the English-language music industry through their outstanding performances.
The 58th Grammy Awards ceremony was held on 15 February at the Staples Center, Los Angeles. Many musicians and artists who belong to different genres of the English-language music industry performed at the award function. Both DirecTV and Dish Network made sure that their subscribers got the opportunity to watch the program Live. Both companies will re-telecast the programs for the people who missed to watch it earlier.
The award ceremony was telecasted Live from Los Angeles on CBS. DirecTV users were able to watch it on Channel 5, whereas Dish Network subscribers viewed the program on Channel 605 (HD). Meanwhile, Time Warner Cable also aired the Grammy Awards ceremony Live, on Channel 1209.
Both Dish and DirecTV subscribers who have the latest set-tops with on-demand streaming can watch the program at wish on their smartphone, tab or laptop. Both companies have said that they make the entire ceremony available for on-demand streaming.
During this year’s Grammy Awards night, several celebrities gave live performances. They include Lemmy Kilmeister (Hollywood Vampires), Glenn Frey (Eagles members with Jackson Browne), Tailor Swift, Adele, Gary Clark Jr., Bonnie Raitt, Chris Stapleton, and B.B. King. The ceremony was hosted by LL Cool J.
