DirecTV Is All Set To Bring Fullscreen To TV!

TV networks and digital platforms like YouTube used to broadcast sample episodes of TV shows to influence the viewers and to keep them hooked on to the show, so that they would subscribe or tune in to watch the show eventually. However, an innovative approach is being initiated by DirecTV and AT&T, where the subscribers will get original programming from the Audience Network into a special subscription video service.

The new program, namely ‘Snack on Fullscreen’, is being launched by AT&T on the Audience Network, in daily as well as monthly segments. A one-hour block is included on this program, which airs at 12:00 pm ET every day. This smart move made by DirecTV would surely attract more subscribers to the service.

“The best in digital-first content for millennials is coming to an even bigger stage,” said David Christopher, Chief Marketing Officer of AT&T Entertainment Group. Otter Media, the digital-media joint venture of AT&T and Chernin Group owns the rights for Fullscreen. Here are some of the programs from Fullscreen’s SVOD, which will be featured in the Audience Network.

Jack & Dean of All Trades – This show is about Jack Howard and Dean Dobbs, who join a temporary company in London that employs them at different jobs. The result: weird and hilarious outcomes.

Chad Future TV – This show features Chad Future, who is on a journey to Seoul, South Korea. Chad Future is a K-pop influenced American artist and a viral video star.

Making Moves – This show is an LA based dance drama, which revolves around Ethan Maxwell, who is determined to become a dancer. Ethan finds a mentor in his cousin Sammy, a successful YouTube star, who convinces him that internet stardom is the key to become a rising star.

Veitch 101 – British Comedian, director and writer, James Veitch, discusses about the various aspects of technology.

Single + Swiping – A documentary series, depicting the harsh realities regarding dating apps.

Apart from the Saturday block, Audience TV also promotes 8-10 minute segments of Fullscreen short-form contents on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday evenings on both DirecTV and U-Verse. Audience Network is available on channel 239 in DirecTV.
